Miriam Newman started their career at the BBC in development and acquisitions. Following this they went on to work in the independent sector where they have a track record of identifying, developing, and promoting new talent and stories. To date, they have supported multiple projects through development into production – including shorts which have played at Toronto International Film Festival (2021, 2022), Hamptons International Film Festival (2021, 2022), Galway Film Fleadh (2021), London Film Festival (2021, 2023), BFI Flare (2021, 2022), Sundance (2022), Edinburgh International Film Festival (2022, 2023), Glasgow Short Film Festival (2022, 2023), Tribeca (2023) and Sundance London (2023).
